1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the websites and mobile applications provided by Essentiala Ltd ("Essentiala", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16924554). Our apps include StudyFlow and Tastora (each an "app", together "our apps" or the "Services").
By downloading, accessing or using our Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use our Services. By using them you confirm that you meet this requirement and are able to enter into a binding agreement.
3. Our Services
Our apps help you do more with everyday content. Tastora turns cooking videos and links from platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube — as well as photos and dish names — into structured, saveable recipes, and lets you organise cookbooks, plan meals, create shopping lists and cook with step-by-step guidance. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
4. Your Account
When you first open an app we create an anonymous account so you can start using it straight away. You may later link a permanent sign-in method (such as Sign in with Apple, Google, or email). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
5. Subscriptions, Pricing and Payment
Some features require a paid subscription ("Tastora Pro" or equivalent).
- Free tier. Tastora can be used free with certain limits, including up to 5 recipe imports per week and limited access to some features.
- Pricing. Tastora Pro is offered at £4.99 per month or £29.99 per year. Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region and over time.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies. We are generally unable to issue refunds directly.
- Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Changes will not affect your current billing period, and we will give notice where required.
6. AI-Generated Content and Accuracy
Our apps use artificial intelligence to generate content. In Tastora, recipes, ingredient lists, quantities, cooking instructions, nutritional information and allergen information are produced automatically from third-party content and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your needs.
This output is provided for general information and convenience only. It is not professional, medical, nutritional or dietary advice. You must independently verify any information before relying on it — especially allergen and nutritional information if you or others have allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary or medical requirements. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from reliance on AI-generated output.
7. Third-Party Content and Your Responsibilities
Tastora processes links and content that you choose to submit from third-party platforms.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access and use any content you submit, and for complying with the terms of the platforms you take it from.
- Recipe information (such as lists of ingredients and basic methods) is extracted for your personal, non-commercial use only.
- We do not claim ownership of, and are not responsible for, the original third-party content. Trademarks and content belong to their respective owners. Tastora is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or any creator.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: use the Services unlawfully or to infringe others' rights; upload harmful, illegal or infringing content; attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the Services; or resell or commercially exploit the Services without our permission.
9. Intellectual Property
We and our licensors own all rights in the Services, including the software, design, branding and logos. You retain rights in the original content you create, and you grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to provide the Services to you. You may not use our branding without our prior written consent.
10. Third-Party Services
Our Services rely on third parties (including Apple, our hosting and AI providers, and sign-in providers). Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms. Subscriptions purchased through the App Store are subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (EULA).
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose.
12. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on AI-generated content.
- Our total liability to you, for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services, is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and £100.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, or where we stop providing a Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version, and continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.
